The Dual TIS action reclines in the same way as a tilt in space chair which is particularly useful for those with hip, back and delicate skin conditions. This is because the angle between the back and the seat remains fixed, thus eliminating any possible shearing and being fully supportive of the back and pelvic area. This action is also very useful for those who need to elevate their legs above their hips, as it achieves this better than all other actions. However, there is a second motor that additionally allows the back to be reclined to a flatter position, just as in a 2 motor chair. This chair combines the best features of both the 2 motor and the Tilt in Space actions.

The mechanisms used are made in the UK and are very strong, quiet and reliable. We can offer a fully made to measure chair in a style and fabric of your choice at very reasonable prices.

We provide a free of charge assessment of your needs, wishes and risks in your own home, with absolutely no obligation to purchase. To give you peace of mind, we are members of the BHTA and conform to their Office of Fair Trading approved Code of Practice, which includes standards of behaviour and ethical guidelines for member staff operating in client's homes.

All chairs have a 5 year warranty on all actuators and electronics other than the hand control. Hand controls upholstery and mechanisms have a 2 year warranty.

Hand Control

The Dual Motor Tilt in Space Chair has 6 buttons allowing you to independently adjust the position of the back rest and to tilt chair backwards and forwards (without the seating position ever changing) with the leg rest moving up or down at the same time. Once the leg rest is all of the way down, the chair will then rise to help you achieve a standing transfer. Our hand controls are the best you can get. We believe that cutting corners to save a few pounds can result in reliability issues.
