Safety first

Whichever quality chair design you choose, rest assured it will be easy-to-use, safe and reliable.  However, if you live with pets or young children, we can fit anti-entrapment systems for added peace of mind.

These proven solutions manage the risk of entrapment under the chair whilst it is lowered.  Each chair can also be supplied with emergency battery backups.

Safety and why Theraposture chairs deliver peace of mind

Anti Entrapment

We always recommend an anti entrapment device to be fitted to your chair following a risk assessment. This will help prevent a potentially serious accident from happening should, for example, a pet or child crawl under the chair.

Our system uses the latest technology to detect someone or something under the chair, preventing the chair from lowering.

Battery Backup

Supplied as standard on all chairs, the two 9V batteries enable single operation of the chair in the event of a power failure. These are designed to enable the back to sit up and the leg rest to lower but will not raise the chair.

Built in Battery Backup

This will allow between 40 to 80 cycles of the chair. This is a discreet and effective way of safeguarding against power failure.

Stand Alone Battery Backup

Stand alone battery backup. This is an alternative to the Built in battery at the same cost.

This system sits beside or behind the chair and will allow up to 4 separate devices to be plugged in and used in the event of a power failure – particularly useful if at night as a lamp may be powered for example. These devices and a further 4 other devices will additionally be protected against power surges.

Quality fabrics

You can select the fabric and finish that suits your taste and home décor.

All upholstery is guaranteed for two years and there is a vast range to choose from which includes sumptuous leather through to beautiful fabrics and waterproof finishes.
