Theraposture Limited, the highly respected specialist in assistive furniture, will be demonstrating the new, pioneering Mascot Mark II Care Cot at Occupational Therapy 2013 (26-27 November, Stand D72, NEC) along with the revolutionary Rotoflex bed.
Theraposture is a privately owned, family run business that has been a leading supplier of bespoke, hand-built adjustable beds, chairs and care cots since 1981. Regularly recommended by healthcare professionals such as OTs, Theraposture is often seen as first choice for reliable, quality assistive furniture. The new Mascot Mark II continues with this proven reputation as it once again delivers an innovative, intelligently designed solution that ensures comfort, safety and flexibility for users and their carers.
The Mark II Mascot from Theraposture is the first fully modular design available in the UK. Building on the heritage of the original Mascot, it is a hand built, individually specified sleeping solution that provides complete flexibility that meets the changing needs of a disabled child. Liam Braddell, Theraposture Sales Director comments:
“We are delighted to be supporting Occupational Therapy 2013 in its first year and anticipate high levels of interest from professionals in our innovative Mascot cot and Rotoflex bed. The Mascot II provides the best cost effective choice for families as its pioneering flexibility means further cots do not need to be purchased when user needs change.”
Theraposture will also be offering all OTs attending Occupational Therapy 2013, a free prize draw to win an iPad Mini by simply registering their details on Stand D72.
“Alongside the Mascot, we will be demonstrating our remarkable Rotoflex bed. As a market leader, the Theraposture Rotoflex is the ultimate and most accomplished solution to assist individuals with getting into and out of bed. It has a fully electric powered rotation, meaning that independent transfers are achievable for many. For those receiving care and assistance when in bed, the Rotoflex is fully equipped to reduce the manual handling needs and risks and can be an alternative to hoisting. During the show, we will also be reiterating the importance of our seven-day suitability guarantee and comprehensive assessment process to all OTs.”
The new Mascot II Care Cot
The new Mascot is the first fully modular design available in the UK. Building on the proven heritage of the original Mascot, it is a hand built, individually specified sleeping solution that now encompasses fully inter-changeable door heights. Ranging from 60–98cm in height, these doors also incorporate a new innovation securing mechanism for enhanced safety. Delivering safety, great looks, affordability without compromising quality and full modular adaptability – the new Mark II Mascot is the flexible solution for changing user needs.
Rotoflex® powered rotational bed
The Theraposture Rotoflex truly delivers independence, as it is a real alternative to hoisting and carer assistance. In this situation the bed can pay for itself many times over as the cost of care at home or in a residential setting is so high.
The Rotoflex can be electrically operated to rotate to either side of the bed to ensure that it is compatible with a variety of room situations. In addition to the unique rotation, the Rotoflex also has powered profiling and variable height function with the latter helping to achieve a standing transfer if needed. This unique adjustable and full rotating bed can be installed as a single, or within a double combination bed so partners with varying mobility needs can still sleep together.
