Theraposture achieves ISO recognition for outstanding business practices
Theraposture Limited, the nationally renowned assistive furniture specialist in Westbury, Wiltshire, is delighted to announce it has successfully achieved ISO9001 accreditation which formally recognises its 30-year heritage for market-leading procedures and quality products.
ISO9001 is only awarded to businesses that comprehensively demonstrate an effective quality manufacturing and management system. This is a measure of the organisation in terms of how it achieves consistency, meets the needs of customers and maintains good practice at all times. David Holtum, Theraposture’s Managing Director explains:
“This achievement for Theraposture is very important. It clearly demonstrates to both private and public sector healthcare markets, that we consistently implement accurate and efficient systems to ensure every single customer has the best possible experience with us time and again. As we handcraft high quality, bespoke adjustable beds, chairs and paediatric cots it is absolutely imperative that our less able end-users have total confidence in us. From initial contact, assessment and specialist advice right through to recommendations, installation and after-sales care, this organisation adheres to strict guidelines and set procedures so that specific needs are met and expectations exceeded. Potential new customers, who may also fully depend on our solutions to remain mobile at home without expensive care costs, will now be further assured of our outstanding reputation with this ISO9001 standard in place. I would like to thank all the team here at Theraposture for their hard work as without this dedication and commitment, ISO9001 would not have been achieved.”
Following the request of the Managing Director, Theraposture’s Engineering Consultant, David Arthur, instigated and drove the ISO9001 programme. David has over 40 years of experience in engineering across the globe and is nicknamed ‘Mr Detail’ at Theraposture. His role since 2005 with Theraposture has concentrated on all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure constituent parts, safety testing and finished product quality is of the utmost standard.
David Arthur concludes:
“Even though we have operated with robust, systematic procedures for several years, it was important for us to formally announce our quality management systems to the market place. As many public sector contracts can only be awarded to businesses that display ISO9001 competencies, this has given Theraposture further market penetration capabilities along with additional interest from domestic customers. This latest recognition of commercial excellence adds to our impressive roll call of existing accreditations and it has been an absolute privilege for me to help achieve this for Theraposture.”
